I would like to first express my deepest condolences on the closure of DediPath, another hosting provider. It pains me to see how our market is slowly decreasing in size with many exiting out or consolidating. I have always enjoyed the competitive nature of our business but with that said, and I find absolutely no pleasure in saying this as it’s not in me to beat a dead horse, it was absolutely unacceptable for DediPath to give its customers mere hours to move their data and services off of their networks. This speaks volumes of how a business should not operate and how important it is to be a trusted reliable hosting partner. This action doesn’t only hurt their customers, but also the industry in general.
As Sharktech recently celebrated the milestone of being in business for 20 years, I want our customers and partners who have put their trust in us, to rest assured that we absolutely would never conduct ourselves in such manner. We are in an excellent financial position and have been constantly working on improving our service solutions and ensuring we offer the kind of services that meets our high standards. While other companies have offered their services at or below cost and have competed against each other with a focus on the race to the bottom, Sharktech has focused on the race to the top of how we ensure the quality of our services and becoming a trusted partner to our customers.
